Elisha Cuthbert Previews 24 Season Two
Exclusive interview with real-time series actress.
I ran into 24's Elisha Cuthbert at a party for BETonSports.com's new VIP club in Costa Rica. Full details of the event will follow this week, but of immediate importance are Cuthbert's reflections on the beginning of 24's second season. Now that Teri Bauer (Leslie Hope) has died, Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) and daughter Kim (Cuthbert) are on their own as a new real-time adventure unfolds in the course of 24 one hour episodes.
How is season two going? It's going really, really well. Kiefer and I have been working a little bit more and it's been good.
What issues are you dealing with as far as your story arc goes? Really, I've been dealing with the death of my mother and I've been also maturing a lot as the character. She made a big leap from 17-year-old to an 18-year-old. I think she's mentally 22 now. It's taking care of a young girl and it's quite a contrast to the last season.
Do you get kidnapped again? That I cannot say. I hope not.
You already got kidnapped three times last season, and that's all in one day! I know, it was a little bit out of control, but hey. It was all fun.
How is the father/daughter dynamic affected by the mother's death? It's affected it in kind of a big way because it's just been wild. He's dealing with it and I'm dealing with it and it's going to be interesting to see us in the show this year how we deal with it. It's going to be different every time.
Do you approach the real time aspect any differently now that you've done it once before? It's easier than it was last year. I think last year we were trying to get the niche of the concept and the actual show. Now that we know what we're doing, we're in there and we're out of there. We know what's going on so it's been a lot easier.
